Basil Seeds
Basil seeds are found in both Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. High in fiber, calcium and magnesium, basil seeds are great to eat and plant for new fresh basil leaves! When soaked in water, basil seeds develop a gelatinous coating and are easily blended into smoothies, soups, and a host of other dishes. They are a good source of iron for those on a vegan diet.
